The message is spreading! More and more people in different places are joining us in our boycott of VUSE e-cigarettes. Why are we boycotting VUSE? Watch this video explaining our reasons:
Here are some of the pictures from pickets asking these stores to take VUSE off of their shelves:
First, the grannies, or abuelitas, picketing at the Circle K in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on November 20th.
Here are the words to one of the songs they were singing inside the store:
We Feed the Nation
(Tune: “We Shall Not Be Moved”)
Lyrics by Vicki Ryder
We’re singin’ for farm workers, who toil ‘neath the sun,
We’re singin’ for fair wages for each and everyone.
We feed the nation and we’re union strong,
And we shall not be moved.
We sing today for dignity for each and everyone,
Farm workers must have justice , no matter where they’re from
We feed the nation and we’re union strong,
And we shall not be moved.
Unidos en la lucha, no nos moveran,
Unidos en la lucha, no nos moveran,
We feed the nation and we’re union strong,
And we shall not be moved.
Here are the FLOC Homies and Eastern Michigan students at 7-Eleven in Yipsilanti, MI on November 17th.
And here is our picket at the 7 Eleven on Bancroft Avenue in Toledo, Ohio right after Thanksgiving on November 24th.
We also have pickets in Louisville, KY and in Apopka, Florida.
The National Farm Workers Ministry says:
For 10 years, farm workers have asked Reynolds American Inc. to work with the Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC) to end abuses and human rights violations in their supply chain. Until Reynolds signs an agreement guaranteeing workers a voice in their work place without fear of retaliation & the right to collective bargaining, join us in boycotting the VUSE e-cigarette!
36% of convenience store sales are tobacco products
